INA – BAGHDAD
PM Adel Abdul Mahdi received a phone call from US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Friday regarding the mutual relations between the two countries.
The phone call included talks regarding the crises between US and Iran.
Pompeo praised Iraq’s stance in terms of variety of relations in Arab and the region and the efforts of maintain stability and security in addition to avoiding escalation of tension.
PM Abdel Mahdi asserted the importance of mutual relations and the cooperation in different fields especially, economically and counter-terrorism.
He also explained that the meetings that are held in Baghdad recently to maintain stability in the region are witnessing a global attention.
