The three presidencies held Sunday evening, a meeting with political leaders to discuss the creation of a unified internal front to confront the escalation between Washington and Tehran.
All the main political leaders have responded to President Barham Salih's call for a meeting to discuss the seriousness of the situation and the tension that the region is experiencing as a result of the recent escalation between the United States and Iran, spokesman Luqman al-Faily said.
Al Faily also said that the meeting discussed ways to work reduce tension through the unification of the national discourse and positions in coordination between presidencies and the political block and the house of Representatives
He added that the President of the Republic presented during the meeting a working paper was agreed upon, noting that "the national consensus reflected the importance of communication between political leaders and neighboring countries to come up with a position that rises to the level of existing challenges away from the media.
