Spokesman for the Speaker of the Iraqi parliament denies what was attributed to Al Halbousi of statements

    The official spokesman of the Iraqi parliament denied quoted by the London-based Arabic-language al-Sharq al-Awsat newspaper as quoting the council's president, Mohammed al-Halbousi.

    "Halabousi was speaking at a dialogue session for a number of newspapers and agencies and his transfer to the Middle East is a manipulation of the past and a distorted and inaccurate deduction from the context of a comprehensive talk in which the president affirmed the independence and sovereignty of Iraq, Shaker Hamid said.
