Speaker of Iraqi Parliament Muhammed al-Halbusi is decided to make a 6-days visit to Washington DC, USA starting from Tuesday.
Al-Halbusi agenda is to meet several politicians and academic experts discussing the relations between Baghdad and Washington.
Official Spokesman of al-Halbusi, Shakir Hamid stated that the Parliament Speaker is to meet the Vice President Mike Pence, the Speaker of US parliament Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, US Secretary of Defense, Acting Patrick M. Shanahan and United States Senator Lindsey Graham.
This is considered as the first visit of al-Halbusi to USA since being as the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament.
Hamid also highlighted items from al-Halbusi’s visit agenda like making few panels in the research institutions, making press conferences and some interviews with few Iraqis in the USA.
