The Presidency of the Parliament on Tuesday, issued a statement confirming that the House of Representatives believes that the draft amendments to the Iraqi citizenship law is rejected in its current form.
A spokesman for the Speaker of the House of Representatives in a statement:
"The Council considers that the draft amendments to the Iraqi Nationality Law No. 26 of 2006 is rejected as currently drafted."
Spokesman Shaker Hamid said that "the political forces in the House of Representatives support the vote on the draft amendments in the coming days, for the purpose of returning him to the government, and study it again."
