Al-Ghanimi: Iraqi-Syrian borders are safe and new crossings to open

Iraqi Chief of Staff General Othman al-Ghanimi asserted the importance of the safety of Iraqi-Syrian border crossings.
“Iraqi-Syrian border crossings are safe and controlled by the Iraqi security forces and the Syrian Army,” said al-Ghanimi.
He also noted that new border crossing ports to be opened soon and the visits between the two countries are ongoing, adding, “This comes for there is well know coordination between Syrian Army and Iraqi security forces in terms of fighting Daesh terrorist groups”
