The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, directed today, Saturday, to honor officers and members of the General Traffic Directorate for rescuing citizens during the exceptional weather conditions yesterday.
The Prime Minister's Media Office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA):"The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, Mohammed S. Al-Sudani, extends his sincere gratitude and appreciation to the officers and members of the General Traffic Directorate for their commendable efforts in assisting and rescuing citizens during last night’s exceptional weather conditions and heavy rainfall in Baghdad and central Iraq. In recognition of their dedication to duty in all circumstances, the Prime Minister has directed that they be honored, as they serve as exemplary role models for all those entrusted with public service."
