Al-Sudani meets with UNRWA Commissioner-General in Munich

Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani met today, Friday, with Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), at his residence in Munich, The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 61st Munich Security Conference.

A statement by the Prime Minister's Media Office - received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) - said: "Prime Minister Al-Sudani praised UNRWA’s vital and longstanding role in supporting the Palestinian people for decades since its establishment in the 1940s, as well as its significant efforts during the recent war in Gaza."

The Prime Minister also expressed his condolences for the UNRWA staff members who lost their lives in the conflict, emphasizing the need to continue humanitarian work and strengthen international efforts to address the consequences of war and alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people.
