The Joint Operations Command (JOC) announced on Saturday the successful elimination of three terrorist leaders in the Salah al-Din Governorate.

In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), JOC confirmed, “This operation follows an airstrike executed by F-16 fighter jets on January 31, 2025, which was based on highly accurate intelligence provided by the elite personnel of the Military Intelligence Directorate. The operation, planned, coordinated, and executed under the oversight of the JOC’s Targeting Cell, resulted in the strike of a terrorist hideout located in the Zarqa area of the Salah ad-Din operational sector. At the time of the attack, a terrorist cell was present within the compound.”

The statement continued, “Through extensive technical analysis, meticulous cross-referencing of intelligence, and post-mortem examinations conducted on the remains of the seven terrorists neutralized in the operation, it has been conclusively confirmed that key leaders of the terrorist faction were among those eliminated.”

The identified terrorist leaders are as follows:

1-The terrorist Dhaman Muhammad Alwi, known as Abu Said Al-Dandoushi, the self-proclaimed ‘Wali of Kirkuk.’ Alwi was responsible for orchestrating numerous high-profile terrorist operations, including attacks on civilians and military personnel, as well as violent insurgent activity across the Wadi al-Shay, Hamrin Mountains, and Hawija regions within the Kirkuk sector.

2- The terrorist Shahada Alawi Saleh, known as Abu Issa, the so-called ‘Emir of the Hamrin Sector’ for ISIS.

3- The terrorist Basim Rabi’ Al-Batoush, a senior operative within ISIS.
