Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Yamahi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, stressed that the Arab Parliament strongly condemns the decision of the Israeli occupation entity to cancel the 1967 agreement with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), warning of the consequences and risks of placing any obstacles to UNRWA's provision of basic services to millions of Palestinian refugees in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and Jerusalem, stressing that this decision is a crime against humanity and a blatant challenge to the international community and international resolutions and laws related to the protection of Palestinian refugees.

At the same time, Al Yamahi affirmed his welcome of the outcomes of the Council of the League of Arab States at the level of permanent delegates at the conclusion of its extraordinary session, which expressed the Arab position on the repercussions of implementing the illegal decisions of the Knesset of the occupation entity to ban the work of UNRWA in the Palestinian territories occupied in 1967, and called for continued full support for the steadfastness of the Palestinian people on their land, and called on donor countries to continue fulfilling their obligations towards the agency, and stressed the importance of the initiative of joint commitments towards UNRWA.

The Speaker of the Arab Parliament called on the international community, the Security Council and the United Nations to shoulder their moral and legal responsibilities and take practical steps to force the occupying entity to reverse its decision to ban the activities of UNRWA, which provides aid and relief to about 6.4 million Palestinian refugees, including two million refugees in the Gaza Strip.

Its role is vital and irreplaceable in providing basic and necessary services to Palestinian refugees, and the liquidation of the agency is the liquidation of Palestinian rights.

Al-Yamahi expressed the Arab Parliament's continued support and assistance for everything that enhances the steadfastness of the Palestinian people on their land and their adherence to their legitimate rights in accordance with international law, and affirms the rejection of infringement of these inalienable rights, which threatens security and stability and heralds more conflict in the region, undermines the chances of achieving peace and peaceful coexistence among peoples, and undermines the two-state solution.
