The work of the Arab League Council began today, Monday, in its extraordinary session at the level of permanent delegates, headed by Yemen, the current president of the League Council, at the request of Jordan and in coordination with Egypt and the State of Palestine and with the support of a number of Arab countries.
The correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said that "the meeting will discuss the repercussions of implementing the Zionist Knesset's decision to ban UNRWA in the Palestinian territories occupied in 1967, including east Jerusalem and Gaza Strip."
The extraordinary meeting of the delegates of the member states is being held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Cairo, in the presence of the Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ambassador Hussam Zaki and senior officials in the Arab League.
The meeting is scheduled to issue a resolution expressing the collective Arab position rejecting the illegal and void Zionist measures against the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).
