Al-Sudani announces the launch of the training program in the security sector to empower women

    Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, announced today, Saturday, the launch of the (Training Program in the Security Sector), which aims to empower women in security institutions and enhance their role and effective participation in various tasks and ranks.

    The Prime Minister's Media Office said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani launched the (Training Program in the Security Sector), which aims to empower women in security institutions and enhance their role and effective participation in various tasks and ranks during the first women's security conference held in Baghdad."

    He added that "Al-Sudani, in a speech during the conference, praised the efforts of women working in the security and military sectors, stressing that holding this conference reflects the government's keenness to support women in all sectors, including the security sector, which has recorded a distinguished and qualitative presence of women in all security formations and agencies during the past two years, and renewed his directives to the security institutions to empower women, support their entitlement to promotions and promotions, and provide opportunities to assume leadership positions."

    The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces praised - according to the statement - "the efforts of the Ministry of Interior, which worked to establish new departments that enhance women's participation in various security fields, and the presence of a group of female volunteer elements in the Police College to support various security tasks," referring to "(The Reform Strategy in the Security Sector 2024-2032), which was developed by the government, and its axes aim to build the state and achieve security and stability, in order for the reconstruction and development renaissance operations to continue in Iraq, which is a shared responsibility led by the sons of the security forces and agencies of both sexes."

    The statement continued, "Al-Sudani recalled the honorable stance of Iraqi women, and what they did in support of the security forces during the liberation battles against the criminal ISIS gangs, and urged their sons to volunteer to fight the dark terrorism, and liberate the land, no matter how great the sacrifices."
