Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani expressed his gratitude today, Sunday, to all entities responsible for securing the Rajab pilgrimage, emphasizing that the highest degrees of appreciation and recognition are extended to all ministries, organizations, and units that ensured and facilitated the commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam Musa ibn Ja’far (peace be upon him).
In a post on the platform (X), followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the Prime Minister stated: "The pilgrims of Imam Musa ibn Ja’far (peace be upon him) carried his virtues and life as a beacon, striving to emulate his stance against oppression and tyranny, inspired by the message of his grandfather, the Prophet Mohammed(PBUH), the best of mankind. Alongside them, we are always honored to provide services, meet their needs, and ensure the smooth flow of this monumental pilgrimage.”
He added, “We extend the highest degrees of appreciation and recognition to all ministries, organizations, and units that ensured and facilitated the sacred commemoration.”
The Prime Minister also paid tribute to the efforts of volunteers, stating: “A heartfelt salute to every volunteer who devoted their time, effort, and resources to serve the pilgrims, reflecting Iraq’s true image and expressing their love and devotion to the family of the Prophet (peace be upon them).”
