SMC: An investigative council formed to find out circumstances of the explosion of a weapons depot in Tarmiya

The Security Media Cell SMC announced on Tuesday the formation of an investigative council to find out the circumstances of the explosion of a weapons depot in Tarmiya.  

According to a statement of SMC received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "after receiving accurate intelligence information to the National Security Agency regarding the presence of a pile of old equipment hidden in the area of Alboghantos district Tarmiya, north of the capital Baghdad, the detachments of the apparatus in cooperation with the holding force in the 23rd Infantry Brigade of the Iraqi army began heading to the place and during the process of verifying the existence of this stack a technical error occurred, which led to the explosion of the stack and the death of three officers and the injury of four personnel."  

 The statement  continued, "Following this incident, some social networking sites reported incorrect news and attributed this incident to a terrorist act or an armed clash with terrorist elements," calling for "accuracy in transmitting information and knowing news exclusively from official sources."
