Vodafone Global Telecommunications Managing Director in the Middle East, Johannes Hammer, expressed his happiness on Thursday with "the stability witnessed in Iraq," noting that "what he saw during his visit to Baghdad was very positive and amazing as there was a huge and vast difference" from what he expected.
"I visited Baghdad for the first time last November and stayed for a week. Although I do not know much about Iraq, the visit was very positive and amazing," said Hammer during a meeting between PM Muhammed S. Al-Sudani, heads and officials of British companies during his visit to London.
Hammer added, addressing the Prime Minister, "We felt proud of all those we met and what you are doing at present is amazing. I was very happy that you signed some agreements or decrees and laws related to sovereign guarantees during your visit to Britain."
"I am also very pleased to learn that there are joint funding agreements between you and the United Kingdom. This is a very positive thing, and I think it is sad that perceptions are slowly evolving or slowly improving towards your country because when I compare what I expected to see and what I saw, I can talk about a huge, huge positive difference," he highlighted.
