Nineveh - INA
The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar Al-Hakim, called today, Wednesday, to not exaggerate some challenges or underestimate them and to look objectively while indicating that Iraq is experiencing a state of great transformation and recovery at the political, security, economic, and societal levels.
Al-Hakim said during a press conference in Nineveh Governorate - attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Nineveh Governorate today is in a better state and is moving at an accelerated pace, and security and stability in this governorate are an example for all the people of Mosul," noting that "the people of Nineveh represent a success story in perseverance, persistence and insistence on rebuilding their governorate and coexistence among themselves.".
He added, "We must find a solution for the displaced," noting that "it is shameful that in 2025, in light of the recovery of the Iraqi state with all its joints and governorates, we witness an Iraqi displaced person on his land. We must address these problems so that people can return to their areas and provide them with all the elements of return.".
Al-Hakim pointed out that "we remember in Nineveh Governorate the great sacrifices and the immortal fatwa of Imam Sistani and what it called for in it to bring large numbers of fighters from our people to deal with that enemy that has perched on the chest of Nineveh and liberate this land," indicating that "we are witnessing this great launch today thanks to those sacrifices at the decentralized administrative level, and the administration is a clear foundation laid down in the constitution and we must protect and defend it.".
Al-Hakim called for "not exaggerating or underestimating some challenges, but rather looking objectively, and addressing these matters with our wisdom, moderation, and wisdom, and closing internal ranks," indicating that "our unity is created by trusting each other, and mutual trust is achieved by fulfilling the commitments we made to each other by implementing the government program.".
Al-Hakim concluded by saying: "I am optimistic that these challenges do not amount to creating any defect in our Iraqi reality in light of the great transformation we have witnessed and the positives we are experiencing in the general political, security, economic, and societal recovery, and we wish for Nineveh Governorate peace, stability, and prosperity, and all of Iraq, and for our country to be in the state we wish for as citizens.".
For his part, Nineveh Governor Abdul Qader Al-Dakhil said during the conference: "The local government in Nineveh, in coordination with the federal government, worked and succeeded in restoring the social fabric; because the governorate has religious and national diversity, which gives us a source of strength and stability to advance the reality of Nineveh Governorate and move it forward until it regains its pioneering role.".
He continued, "There are proven indicators in the Ministry of Interior that Nineveh leads the governorates in terms of the lowest criminal and organized crime and the highest reconstruction, as it is making steady strides forward, as well as political stability, which is reflected in all social reality, services, growth, and development.".
