Al-Muhammadi: The sacrifices of martyrs and wounded are an enduring legacy

    The Deputy Commander of Joint Operations Command , General Qais Al-Muhammadi, emphasized on Tuesday that the sacrifices made by the esteemed martyrs and heroic wounded will remain a solemn trust upon the shoulders of the free and honorable.
     
    In a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Al-Muhammadi said, “On December 10, 2017, Iraq marked a historic milestone of unparalleled resilience, which has since become a model for generations. These sacrifices forged a new chapter in Iraq’s proud history, lifting the nation from despair to triumph, driven by the steadfast determination of its people who reject subjugation and pursue freedom.”
     
    He added, “This victory was achieved through the guidance of a historic fatwa by the esteemed religious authority, the unwavering resolve of heroic security forces, and the resilience of a proud nation that values dignity and cherishes both martyrdom and victory.”
     
    Al-Muhammadi emphasized that “united in heart and strength, Iraqis mobilized to defend their land and heritage against all who dared challenge it.”
    He praised their solidarity, stating, “The people of Iraq have demonstrated to the world the profound unity and courage that define this nation.”
     
    He concluded, “The sacrifices of the martyrs and wounded heroes will remain a sacred trust, honored and remembered by the free.”
