Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi reiterated that Iraq would not be part of the sanctions regime against Iran and any other people, praising the development of relations between the two neighboring countries.
A statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office, received by the Iraqi News Agency that Abdul-Mahdi received the Governor of the Central Bank of Iran, Mr. Abdel Nasser Hamti and the accompanying delegation, adding that the relations between the two neighboring countries.The people of Iraq have suffered from the blockade and are aware of the harm done to the people, he said. Iraq will not be part of the sanctions regime against Iran and any other people.
The Iranian official conveyed the greetings of Sheikh Hassan Rowhani, President of the Islamic Republic and his first deputy, congratulating him on his assumption of the presidency of the government and his efforts to achieve stability and economic prosperity, the statement said.
