The Iraqi News Agency (INA) reported on Sunday that the Iraqi Embassy headquarters in Damascus has been evacuated.
Earlier, Syrian state television announced the fall of the Assad regime. Two Syrian military officers informed Reuters that President Bashar al-Assad had left the country on a plane to an undisclosed location.
Syrian Prime Minister Mohammad Ghazi al-Jalali appeared in a video message to reassure the public, stating that he remains at his residence and has no plans to leave Syria.
