The Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee confirmed, today, Saturday, that the Iraqi-Syrian border is fortified.
The head of the committee, Karim Aliwi Al-Muhammadawi, said in a joint press conference with the Minister of Interior and the Commander of the Border Forces - attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "We reassure the Iraqi people that the Iraqi-Syrian border is secure," offering his "thanks to the Minister of Interior and the Commander of the Border Forces for this achievement they have made in securing the Iraqi-Syrian border."
Al-Muhammadawi added that "there is reassurance from the Iraqi street about what is happening in terms of securing the Iraqi-Syrian border," noting that "the efforts of the Ministry of Interior were clear and professional and there is security stability," stressing at the same time that "stability exists on the Iraqi-Syrian border."
