Syrian MOD: Damascus' countryside will not be evacuated

    The Syrian Ministry of Defense denied today, Saturday, the withdrawal of the armed forces units present in the Damascus countryside.

    The ministry said in a statement followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "There is no truth to any news about the withdrawal of our armed forces units present in all areas of the Damascus countryside.".

    It added that "there is a false media campaign carried out by terrorist organizations and some media channels to spread panic and fear in the Damascus countryside."
