The Syrian army announced on Saturday sending military reinforcements to Daraa, south of Syria.
Sources quoted a military source as saying that "the Syrian army forces sent military reinforcements to the city of Daraa in southern Syria."
The General Command of the Syrian Army and Armed Forces confirmed in a statement that "the armed forces are carrying out their national duties in confronting terrorist organizations in various regions," calling on "citizens not to believe the rumors and lies being spread regarding the field situation or affecting the military leadership."
