National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji confirmed today, Saturday, that the armed forces have taken all precautionary measures to secure the borders and that the Syrian battle is far from the Iraqi borders. He also pointed out that the government and security services are taking all measures to ensure the return of all Iraqis.

Al-Araji said during a dialogue session at the (Together for Peace) forum, which was attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The circumstances in Iraq have changed from what they were before when ISIS gangs usurped many areas, but today there is no incubator in Iraq, and the politician who has a sectarian discourse is not accepted,” noting that “the security forces have taken all security measures and procedures, and what is happening in Syria is far from the Iraqi borders.”

He added: "We assure everyone that our forces have taken all precautionary measures to monitor and secure the borders, and the battle is far from the Iraqi borders, and we hope that the Syrian government will control all its territories."

Al-Araji said: “We in the Chancellery receive any complaint or lawsuit against any politician who has a sectarian and divisive discourse, and we will take him to court,” adding that “the cultural diversity among the Iraqi people gives strength.”

On the other hand, Al-Araji explained that "there is a directive from the government to follow up on the kidnapped women and bring them to Iraq, and that any place where information about a kidnapped woman reaches, she will be reached and returned to the country, and the government and security services will take all measures in this regard."
