The Rapid Response Division announced today, Tuesday, the arrest of 1,550 people during the past period on charges related to corruption, drugs, and other various cases.
The commander of the Rapid Response Division, Lieutenant General Thamer Al-Hussaini, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Statistics indicate that more than 1,400 people have been arrested during the past period on charges related to corruption and drugs.
He stressed that "the division was able to arrest more than 150 people on charges related to a number of other cases," noting that "the Rapid Response Division plays a fundamental role in enhancing security and enforcing the law in several governorates, in addition to its effective contribution to resolving tribal disputes."
He pointed out that "the division continues to perform its assigned tasks in various regions," indicating that "tribal disputes require long-term solutions that are consistent with tribal traditions."
