Media Office of the Prime Minister Said in a statement obtained BY the Iraqi News Agency INA that Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani met today, Monday, in Riyadh with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati on the sidelines of the Arab-Islamic Summit focused on addressing the aggression against Gaza and Lebanon, hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The statement read "The meeting included a discussion on the latest developments concerning the ongoing Zionist aggression against Lebanon and Gaza, as well as international and regional efforts to halt the war and prevent an expansion of conflict in the Middle East."
It added "Prime Minister Al-Sudani reaffirmed Iraq’s full solidarity with Lebanon and its people, expressing support for all efforts to safeguard Lebanon’s people and sovereignty in this critical time. He also reiterated Iraq’s ongoing commitment to send relief materials and aid to bolster the resilience of the Lebanese people."
The statement also said "Prime Minister Mikati expressed appreciation for Iraq’s principled and supportive stance toward Lebanon, underscoring the need to intensify Arab and Islamic efforts to stop the aggression on Lebanon and Gaza."
