The Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency announced, today, Wednesday, the arrest of three terrorists in Kirkuk Governorate.
The agency stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "our anti-terrorism detachments in Kirkuk Governorate, in cooperation with the security services in the governorates of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, carried out a qualitative operation based on accurate intelligence information and field follow-up.".
It added, "The operation resulted in the arrest of three terrorists belonging to the ISIS terrorist gangs within the so-called (Kirkuk Province), and upon investigation with them, they explicitly confessed to following up and assassinating a number of security forces members who played an effective role during the liberation battles from the ISIS terrorist gangs.".
It continued, "Their statements were recorded in the confession and were judicially verified, and the evidence was revealed under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities on the assassinations and crimes they had previously carried out."
