The head of the Iraqi Central Cycling Federation, Ali Hamid, praised the prominent role of the technical committees and supporting bodies in the success of the conclusion of the Iraqi Clubs Championship for youth and juniors, which took place in Sulaymaniyah Governorate.
Hamid told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) today, Wednesday: "The fourth and final stage witnessed strong competitions that continued for four consecutive days and resulted in the crowning of Al-Hadba Club team with first place in the youth category, while Al-Sinaa Club came in second place. In the junior category, Dohuk Club came in first place, Al-Hadba second, and Al-Hudud came in third place," indicating that "the races included the individual general, individual against the clock, and team against the clock, with the participation of the northern, central, and southern clubs."
Hamid added that "the technical committee, the supporting bodies in Sulaymaniyah Governorate, the Olympic Committee representatives, the security forces, the referees, and the Competitions Committee played a major role in the success of the tournament, as it took place on difficult roads and required high physical and technical capabilities to make the tournament a success."
Hamid confirmed that "the championship resulted in the emergence of a group of players from all categories, who were chosen to participate in training camps that will last for two months in preparation for the Arab Championship that will be held during the month of November and hosted by the Sulaymaniyah Governorate with the participation of more than 15 countries. The General Assembly meeting of the Arab Union will be held on the sidelines of the championship."
