The head of the Iraq Football Association, Adnan Dirjal, confirmed on Monday, that Iraq is striving with all its might to make the matches it hosts in its various stadiums appear wonderfully, and to be by international and Asian standards.
Darjal received a delegation representing the Security and Safety Committees of the International and Asian Federations, consisting of Chairman of the Security and Safety Committee in the Asian Federation, Brian Johnson, Director of Security and Safety at the International Federation FIFA, Kat Steinberg, member of the Security and Safety Committee in the International Federation, Christopher Exley, in addition to the Chairman of the Security Committee in the Iraqi Football Association Mahmoud Abu Al-Tamman and the Asian Coordinator Aqeel Al-Hamdani, according to a statement by the Iraqi Football Association - received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
"Iraq is striving with all its might to make the matches it hosts in its various stadiums appear wonderfully, and to be by international and Asian standards," he said, adding "Past experiences confirm that we are on the right track and in the right direction."
Dirjal accompanied the international and Asian delegations on a tour of the headquarters of the Iraqi Stars League, where the two delegations expressed "their great admiration for the facilities of the headquarters, which fully reflects the great interest in football in terms of adopting modern contemporary visions."
