Haaland officially wins the Premier League Player of the Month award

Manchester City star, Erling Haaland, was chosen as the best player in the English Premier League for the month of August.

Haaland won the award after scoring 7 goals in his first 3 Premier League matches (a record).

The Norwegian international said in statements reported by the official Manchester City website: "I am delighted to win this award, early in the season. I am very grateful to my teammates, coaches and staff, who helped me achieve this."

He added, "August was a great month for the team, and I am proud to have played an important part in that. Scoring 7 goals last month in 3 matches is great, but I will continue to work hard and improve my game."

The 24-year-old striker received this award for the third time, after August 2022 and April 2023.
