Al-Shorta Soccer Club team tied with Liberian team FC Fassell, on Tuesday, two goals each. It came in a friendly match within Al-Shorta SC camp currently held in Egypt in preparation for the Asian Elite Championship, Iraqi Stars League and Iraqi Cup.
"The first half witnessed the success of the new Jordanian arrival, Muhammed Sharaara, leaving his first mark with the team by scoring his first goal with an Al-Shorta SC jersey after a perfect pass from Riwan Al-Amin. But, Al-Shorta SC's lead did not last long, as the FC Fassell team made a draw in the 30th minute of the first half. After five minutes, Al-Mawas shot a powerful fixed ball that hit the crossbar, to end the events of the first half with a positive draw 1-1," stated the club in a statement - received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
The statement included, "In the second half, substitute Muhammed Dawood was able to score the second goal early in the half, but the opponent made it a draw as the score came ten minutes after scoring the goal."
