FIIA dismantles ISIS Network in Kirkuk

The Federal Intelligence and Investigations Agency (FIIA) has successfully dismantled an ISIS network and apprehended its members in Kirkuk Province.

FIIA said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency -INA that "Our detachments identified a terrorist cell comprised of three ISIS members operating within Kirkuk."

“A specialized intelligence force, coordinated by the Kirkuk Directorate of Intelligence and Counter-Terrorism in conjunction with the Falcons Intelligence Cell, conducted the operation which led to identifying the terrorist precise whereabouts and the arrest of all the network members,” the statement further stated.

“Upon interrogation, they admitted to being involved in multiple terrorist activities, including the assassination of members of the security services,” the statement added."Their statements were judicially confirmed and they were referred to the judicial authorities to receive their just punishment.”
