Al-Sudani declares that six provinces will use hospital joint management system with global companies

    Media Office of the Prime Minister said in a statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency-INA that Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani inaugurated the implementation of the hospital joint operation and management program for modern hospitals at Najaf Teaching Hospital, marking the first such system in Iraq. This initiative involves partnerships with renowned global companies specializing in managing healthcare institutions and hospitals, aiming to reduce the need for Iraqi citizens to seek treatment abroad and save significant amounts of money.
     
    The statement read “Prime Minister Al-Sudani reviewed the program's progress and its implementation in the hospital, including the treatment of patients under the joint operation and management system with the Italian company San Donato. He highlighted the rigorous auditing and review process that selected elite companies, including San Donato, to participate in this initiative. During his tour of the hospital, he assessed the quality of services and the seamless application of the new system.”
     
    It further said “Prime Minister Al-Sudani commended the exceptional efforts of the Ministry of Health, noting significant improvements in equipment and supplies compared to previous years, as he confirmed that the joint management system will initially be implemented in six provinces: Najaf, Basra, Maysan, Dhi Qar, Karbala, and Babylon. This new approach aims to enhance the expertise of Iraqi medical, health, and technical staff across various healthcare fields and improve the quality of services in numerous specialties.”
     
    The Prime Minister said that “Today, we are implementing the goals outlined in the government program to elevate the standard of health services and care provided to citizens, that We adopted a new approach to achieve the best healthcare services through joint management and operation with specialized international companies providing exceptional personnel.”
     
    He affirmed “We have initiated rapid rehabilitation projects for hospitals in Baghdad and other provinces and continue to make progress, in addition to completing stalled hospital and health center projects in Baghdad and other provinces through dedicated teams.”
     
    Al-Sudani confirmed  moving forward with constructing 16 new hospitals, each with a capacity of 100 beds, in various districts. These projects will soon be implemented by vetted and qualified companies, as well as allocating separate funds from the Ministry of Health's budget for specialized treatment centers for kidney, cancer, and heart diseases to enhance the quality of healthcare for serious diseases.
     
    The prime minister highlighted in the statement that the San Donato company demonstrated a high level of dedication and commitment to fulfill the contract.
     
    He further said that Najaf Teaching Hospital becomes a treatment hub, adding to the city's significance as a destination for all Muslims, and We are confident in the success of the joint management system alongside the implementation of the Health Insurance Law.
     
    The prime minister concluded saying that I commend the Ministry of Health and Najaf Health Directorate and hope that they stay committed for the program's success.
