The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Sayyed Ammar al-Hakim, emphasized, On Iraqi Children's Day, the importance of collaboration among all parties and institutions to safeguard the rights of the youth.
In a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Al-Hakim remarked, "Iraqi Children's Day serves as a crucial opportunity to unite efforts in protecting the new generation. We must shield them from family and community violence, as well as the dangers of, drugs, and terrorist organizations. It is imperative to enhance preventive measures against these threats, develop national legislation, and align it with international laws and conventions ratified by the Republic of Iraq. Additionally, we should leverage advanced international experiences in this area."
He also highlighted the "Childhood Initiative," launched several years ago, which calls upon legislative and executive authorities, civil society organizations, and all religious, political, academic, and media stakeholders in Iraq to prioritize the protection of children and fulfill their rights and needs.
