Prime Minister Adel Abdul mahdi received his Australian counterpart Scott Morrison and his delegation.

Abdul mahdi welcomed his Australian counterpart and his accompanying delegation, expressing his thanks for Australia's support for Iraq in the war against terrorism and its support, pointing out that the sacrifices of Iraqis in the war on ISIS was Very large and expensive and must be for the people to reap the fruits of patience and sacrifices in co-existence, stability and reconstruction.
We look forward to continuing Australia's position with Iraq and expanding cooperation to all sectors in order to enhance the interests of the two countries, Abdul-Mahdi said in a joint press briefing following the talks. The Australian Prime Minister expressed his happiness at visiting Iraq and its stability and development, reiterating his congratulations to the Prime Minister on assuming the premiership.
