The arrest of a woman posing as a doctor in Baghdad was announced by the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency (FIIA) on Wednesday.
As per an official statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "the FIIA detachments, which are specialized in counterterrorism in Baghdad, Rusafa, monitored information indicating that there is a woman impersonating a pediatrician and misleading citizens into believing she works in a hospital in Baghdad."
The statement added, "after obtaining the original judicial approvals, an intelligence work team was formed, field follow-up was made, and the woman was held red-handed ," noting that " she was handed over to the competent investigative authorities to receive her just punishment."
"Citizens should report such cases by calling the toll-free hotline (144)," the statement said.
