Prime Minister Mohammad Shia Al-Sudani participated today, Wednesday, in the official funeral ceremony for the late Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and their companions.
The Prime Minister's Media Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): that “Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani participated in the official funeral ceremony for the late Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi, the Iranian Foreign Minister, and their Colleagues, held today, Wednesday, in Tehran. The ceremony was attended by international official delegations, and public figures.”
Prime Minister Al-Sudani recited Surah Al-Fatiha and paid his last respects to the bodies of the deceased in the designated hall for the funeral ceremony.
Prime Minister Al-Sudani arrived in Tehran this morning, leading an official delegation that included the President of the Supreme Federal Court, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Planning, the Minister of Interior, the Minister of Labor, as well as the Prime Minister's Chief of Staff and the Governors of Basra and Wasit. The Iraqi delegation offered condolences and expressed solidarity with the Iranian leadership.
