Health minister Saleh Mahdi Al-Hasnawi confirmed, on Monday, that the ministry is working on the development of health institutions and the opening of new projects in Basra.
A ministry statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said that " health minister Saleh Mahdi Al-Hasnawi arrived today in Basra province accompanied by a high-level ministerial delegation, where he was received by the administrative deputy governor of Basra Maher al-Amiri and Director General of Basra health Abbas Khalaf Al-Tamimi and a number of officials in the province.
"The visit included inspecting a number of health institutions, opening a number of health projects, and meeting with the local government to find out the health reality in the province", the statement added.
Al-Hasnawi stressed that "the ministry, within the framework of the government program, is working on the development of health institutions in Basra and the opening of new projects that serve the citizen, as well as the rehabilitation and reconstruction of existing hospitals".
