PM: A necessity to provide the best equipment to our armed forces

PM Muhammed S. Al-Sudani chaired on Monday, the second meeting of the Higher Committee for Armament to discuss the enhancement of the capabilities of the Ministry of Defense's units in terms of armament and military equipment.

The meeting handled the critical actions taken to support the combat and field capabilities of the armed units of the Ministry of Defense, as part of the government's strategy to empower and develop the capacities of our armed forces and security services, according to a statement by PM Media Office, received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.


During the meeting, the importance of diversifying armament sources and improving technological efficiency across various branches and active units was emphasized.

Al-Sudani reiterated his previous directives on "the necessity of focusing on training and development and providing the best supplies and equipment to our armed forces."

"This is to enable them to respond and act in the performance of their duties, facing any security challenges and threats, regardless of their source and nature," included in the statement.
