Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique made a clear threat to Moroccan star Ashraf Hakimi, the right-back of the French team.
Enrique said in a press conference, today, Saturday, in preparation for the match between Montpellier tomorrow in the French League, “I do not agree that Hakimi’s level fluctuated this season, and his performance differed after the African Cup of Nations.”.
He added, "Hakimi has been performing consistently throughout the season. He is a player with great potential, which is only available in a very small number of players in the same position.".
The Spanish coach continued, "I do not try to compliment the best players, but rather I always ask them to provide the best level, and at the same time I am keen to protect them.".
The coach of Saint-Germain hinted, “Hakimi is having a wonderful season, but he is a smart player, and he knows very well why he does not participate in some matches.”.
Luis Enrique continued, "He is an active player on the offensive level, but he still needs to improve his level, and I am very confident that he will improve.".
Enrique emphasized at the conclusion of his statements, “And if Hakimi does not improve, he knows very well what will happen to him.”
