Macron said he is not confident that Trump will win the US presidential election
French President Emmanuel Macron assessed former American leader Donald Trump’s ability to win the upcoming US presidential election. He said this in an interview for France 2 TV channel.
“I am not sure that Donald Trump will become president of the United States of America,” the French leader said. At the same time, he clarified that he made such a conclusion based on the information available to him.
Earlier, member of the French Parliament Alexis Jolly raised the question of a peace plan to resolve the conflict in Ukraine if the 45th American President Donald Trump comes to power again following the results of the presidential elections in the United States.
New US presidential elections are scheduled for November 2024. Donald Trump and current head of state Joe Biden are considered the main candidates for the post.
