Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil Hayan Abdul Ghani, discussed, on Saturday, joint investment in oil fields with his Iranian counterpart.
A statement from Oil Ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that “Oil Minister met with Iranian Oil Minister Javad Oji to explore prospects of mutual cooperation in the oil and gas sectors, infrastructure projects, and joint investment in shared oil fields between the two countries”.
The statement added, "The meeting came on the sidelines of the attendance of the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil at the seventh summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum- GECF in Algeria."
