The Saudi Football Association announced today, Friday, the launch of its campaign to host the World Cup for the first time in 2034. The
Saudi Football Association revealed the official identity, campaign slogan, website, and a short film celebrating football in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the slogan “Together We Grow.”.
Yasser Al-Meshal, President of the Saudi Football Federation, said: “Telling our football story to the world is of great importance, and we believe in growing together, and this is the perfect and simple description of our approach to hosting the tournament, within 10 years.”.
He added, "Applying to host the FIFA World Cup has only become possible thanks to the country's rapid transformation. We have achieved unprecedented progress in men's and women's football, and our bid is an open invitation to the world to join us on this exciting journey.".
He concluded: “As we proved when we welcomed more than 100 nationalities at the 2023 Saudi Club World Cup in Jeddah, the future is bright when we grow together.”.
For his part, Hammad Al-Balawi, head of the 2034 World Cup file in the Saudi Federation, said: “This campaign is supported by the hopes and dreams of 32 million people in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”.
He added: “Our responsibility is to present the best possible bid to FIFA, make our country proud, and fulfill the trust placed in us by more than 130 countries and member associations around the world who supported our bid.”.
Al-Balawi stressed: “Under Vision 2030 and the unconditional support of our country’s leadership, sport helps unleash the passion and potential of our people, and as our campaign slogan says, Saudi Arabia’s bid to host the 2034 World Cup is about being part of a global football family, where fans grow, players and federations together.”
