Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani stressed today, Thursday, the importance of raising the level of the Iraqi league.
The Prime Minister's Media Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani received the President of the Iraqi Football Federation, Mr. Adnan Darjal.".
The Prime Minister stressed according to the statement: “the government’s continued support for all steps that would work to develop Iraqi football, by supporting national teams in various categories and putting them in foreign tournaments and training camps, in order to gain experience and raise the level of performance, as well as rehabilitating stadiums and sports facilities in various regions of the country.”.
He stressed "the importance of raising the level of the Iraqi league, especially after signing a memorandum of understanding and partnership contract with the Spanish League (La Liga), which included sponsoring the Iraqi professional league and developing football talent, in addition to raising the expertise of club workers.".
