Major General Yehia Rasool, the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, announced on Thursday that the minutes of the military committee meetings had been turned in, completing the plan to terminate the international coalition's mission.
"The three subcommittees emanating from the Supreme Military Committee to end the tasks of the international coalition held their meetings in Baghdad, with their counterparts from the international coalition, to discuss topics prepared on their agendas to evaluate the terrorism threat, of the conditions of the operational environment, and current and future options to boost the capabilities of the Iraqi armed forces," Major General Rasool said in a statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
"The subcommittees continue to hold their periodic meetings to complete their work," he continued, adding that "the committees submitted the minutes of their meetings so that the requirements of the plan to end the mission of the international coalition to fight ISIS can be completed, and the transition to broad bilateral relations with member states."
