The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, emphasized that the anniversary of Sha'ban uprising motivates support for the state, the law, and comprehensive service and developmental progress.
In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim emphasized that “on the thirty-third anniversary of the Sha'ban uprising; that represented the iconic meaning of a revolution for Iraqis nationwide, Reflecting the populace's fury against dictatorship and its oppressive rule, the uprising symbolized the resolute rejection of injustice by the Iraqi people. It underscored the profound unity—both human and spiritual—between the citizens and their religious authorities, addressing existential concerns. The event unfolded as an epic narrative that systematically drained the tyrannical regime, laying bare the vacuity of its thrones and paving the irreversible path to its demise, conclusively closing that chapter in history.
He continued: "While we honor and commemorate the achievements of that Iraqi revolution and mourn its noble martyrs, we emphasize the need to immortalize it, remind of its foundations, and introduce the new generation to its goals, urging the derivation of the noble values it heralded."
He affirmed that "this occasion motivates the people to support the state, the law, civil peace, and comprehensive service and developmental progress."
