Karkh Criminal Court issued, on Sunday, a seven-year prison sentence against a convict who impersonated the director of the follow-up office in the Prime Ministry .
Media Office of the Supreme Judicial Council said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that " Karkh Criminal Court, issued a seven-year prison sentence for the crime of impersonating the director of the follow-up office in the Prime Ministry ".
" The convict impersonated a public official in order to obtain financial benefits "pointing out that "the sentence was issued in accordance with the provisions of resolution 160 of 1983, paragraph I /1 and 2 of it, and based on the provisions of Article 132/ 3 of the Penal Code” the statement added.
