The Prime Minister's advisor announces the start of Christian pilgrimage route project

    The Prime Minister’s Adviser for Culture, Tourism and antiquities Affairs, Qahtan Al-Jubouri, announced on Sunday the start of work on the Christian pilgrimage route project, while pointing to the preparation of a three-axis plan.

    Al-Jubouri in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said that " " Iraq is working on the Christian pilgrimage path from inside and outside the country" indicating that "there will be integrated work at the near, medium and long-term levels.

    He added that" the real work on the road has begun and there is communication with various churches of the world and with parties in the Vatican and the Christian endowment in Iraq ",pointing out that "we have begun to form specialized companies in this field”.

     "There are more than 10 companies that have applied for the offer and we will work on choosing the best to promote tourism at the level of Christian pilgrimage and other tourism levels" noting that "the next stage bodes well after Iraq's security and political stability, as the Government seeks to provide the best services headed by Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani ” al-Jubouri added.
