The commander of Holy Karbala operations , Lieutenant General Ali L- Hashimi, confirmed on Sunday that the Pilgrimage of Shaban’s plan does not include any Road closures.
Al-Hashimi said, at a press conference attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA ) that "the security leadership has developed a comprehensive security plan on the occasion of Pilgrimage of Shaban " noting that "the Operations Command began implementing the plan early, as coordination was done with the Holy Shrine on securing the visit”.
"The visit plan does not include any Road closures , as well as reducing the main Checkpoints and canceling the subsidiary " he added.
For his part, police commander Major General Ahmed zweini confirmed during the conference that "the plan of Pilgrimage of Shaban has been reviewed and its tasks have been distributed".
"Additional units from Defense Ministry will arrive in the Holy province of Karbala to support the visit "he added.
