Central Criminal Court: life imprisonment sentence to drug dealers, including a woman

The Central Criminal Court ,on Thursday, issued a life imprisonment sentence against 5 drug dealers, including a woman.
 
The Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) "The convicts were seized in possession of three bags of narcotic substances for the purpose of trafficking and selling them among users after they formed a drug trafficking network in Baghdad”.

"The sentence was issued based on the provisions of Article 28/ I of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law No. 50 of 2017 and the reference of articles 47, 48 and 49 of the Penal Code" said the statement.
