The Karkh Criminal Court issued, on Sunday, a seven-year prison sentence against three convicts for the crime of impersonating a property owner residing outside the country.
"The Karkh Criminal Court issued a seven-year prison sentence against three convicts for the crime of impersonating the owner of the property owned by a member of the Christian community currently in America, falsifying the transaction, transferring ownership in the name of one of the accused and selling it to other people” media center of The Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) .
The statement added that "the sentence was issued in accordance with the provisions of Article 290 and the indication of articles of participation 47, 48 and 49 of the Penal Code No. 111 of 1969 amended".
